Did you know that Ashcroft Vision Care, we have an on-site Optical Lab?  This is where eyeglass lens orders are received, verified for the correct power (prescription), and checked to ensure the correct coatings and/or tints have been applied. 

Then, the frame for a patient’s order is ‘traced’ using special equipment, and the lenses are blocked/prepared for the measurements that were taken. The lenses are then placed in an edger, where they are ground down to match the frame shape.  Lenses are then placed into the frame and verified once more for power and proper measurements!
